Wire Sawing
Wire Sawing originated in quarries and is ideal for cutting thick concrete. A stranded cable with diamond beads known as a "wire" is threaded around the structure and a series of pulleys. The wire is then pulled continuously through the concrete.
Wire Saws are used when other cutting methods are not practical. It is also used when space is limited and time is or the essence. No cut is too large or small for a wire saw application. The only restriction is how large or heavy the material being removed can be to fit into the capabilities and
safe limits of equipment being used to lift or remove it.
Major uses of wire saws are bridge piers and beams, towers, machinery bases,
and anywhere the surrounding areas are vibration and shock sensitive.
