Wire Sawing
Wire Sawing originated in quarries and is ideal for cutting thick concrete. A stranded cable with diamond beads known as a “wire” is threaded around the structure and a series of pulleys. The wire is then pulled continuously through the concrete.
Wire saws are used when other cutting methods are not practical. It is also used when space is limited and time is of the essence. No cut is too large or small for a Wire Saw application.
Major uses for the Wire Saw are Bridge piers and Beams, towers, machinery bases, and anywhere the surrounding areas are vibration and shock sensitive.
